- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪This surgery is a disgrace I needed to see a doctor quickly as I was in a lot of pain and discomfort and hadn't been able to eat or sleep for 2 days ..I explained this to the receptionist who said I would have to go through a telephone triage system??and they would probably phone me in the afternoon and make an appointment which would mean another day of extreme pain and discomfort for me .The practice was virtually empty looked to be more staff than patients.. I phoned 111 who helped get into a walk in surgery 9 miles away who very quickly dealt with my concerns and prescribed a course of antibiotics all in the space of 15 mins ..ryecroft care center is less than half a mile from where I live I'm registered there I've paid full national insurance for most of my life yet I have to travel 9 miles to wakefield to see a doctor ..something needs to be done. why bother even having a doctor's surgery if you can't see a doctor when you really need to .by Paul TownsleyMay 20, 2017
